Welcome to Kids For Christ (KFC)!
KFC is a fun, faith-filled after-school program offered every Wednesday during the school year (September 23, 2026 – March 17, 2027) at American Reformed Church.
We help elementary students build strong friendships, discover how they fit into God’s Big Story, memorize scripture, and enjoy active games—all in a safe, loving environment.
Every Wednesday afternoon is packed with engaging activities tailored for Kindergarten through 5th graders using the Brite Curriculum:
- Large Group & Music: Energetic worship songs, Bible story lessons, and drama.
- Small Group & Scripture Memory: Age-appropriate discussions and memory books.
- Game Time: Fun indoor & outdoor games that get kids moving.
- After-School Snack & Homework Time: Provided upon arrival.
- Free Bus Pick-up: Available directly from Prairie Elementary and Worthington Intermediate School (make sure to check the bus permission box on your registration form).
- Pre-Bus Supervision: Prairie students head to the cafeteria after school; Intermediate students are bussed to Prairie. Our background-checked volunteers supervise snack, homework, and play time while waiting for the church bus.
- Car Drop-offs: Church doors open at 4:00 PM for parent drop-offs.
Student Safety is Our Top Priority.
- Check-In: Begins at 4:00 PM at the main entrance.
- Check-Out (5:30 PM): Takes place in the Worship Center / Sanctuary. Only authorized adults listed on the registration form may check out students.
- Walking Home: Students walking home must have written permission on their form. All children must be picked up or depart by 6:00 PM.
🍲 Free Family Dinner (5:30 PM): Stay and eat! Parents and siblings are invited to join us for a complimentary family meal served right after check-out.
