ANNOUNCEMENTS

·         Mark & Traci Scheepstra present Hudson Mark this morning for the Sacrament of Holy Baptism.  May the Lord richly bless this home.

·         The Harvest Supper revealed our grateful hearts as we received an offering of $11,700.  If you didn’t yet give your gift, please give it to any deacon.

·         Because of Thanksgiving, our education meeting will be on Dec. 4.

·         CFC Dinner will be November 20th at 6:00 PM in the chapel.  Please call Raak’s at 372-2667 or Wolfswinkel’s at 343-0173 for reservations.

·         Operation Christmas Child collection week is HERE!  A sign-up sheet is in the narthex.  Please consider helping with this project one time or multiple times.  Thanks for your help.  You can bring your shoeboxes to church Nov. 17-24.

·         Registration forms and information sheets for the high school Saint Louis Mission Trip are available in the narthex.  Turn in completed registration forms and the individual deposits to Maggie TODAY.  If you have any questions or you need help paying the deposit fee, contact Maggie ASAP!

·         GREAT MUSIC FOR KIDS (that won’t drive parents bonkers!)  The “Go Fish” guys will be in concert at the Worthington Senior High School Gym on December 12, 2008.  The trio makes music for children and families; complete with lights, backdrops and fog machines.  It’s a rock and roll show tailor-made for kids with great songs that creatively communicate biblical values.  Tickets are $15 at the door.  Contact the church office for a discounted price of $10 each.

·         I want to thank everyone for their prayers, cards, visits and food brought in during my recent surgery and recovery.  Also thank you to Pastor Irwin for being there the day of the surgery.  God is love.  DeAnn Ossefoort

·         Helping Hand Pregnancy Center is looking for a part-time (30 hrs) Administrative Assistant who is a committed Christian, pro-life and believes in abstinence until marriage.  The applicant must be flexible, energetic, self-motivated, dependable, exhibit excellent organizational skills and have knowledge about general accounting procedures and basic computer operations.  They must also have experience in office management.  For an application call 372-2111 or visit our office at 910 3rd Ave.

·         Westminster Presbyterian Church, 230 Clary St. is having “A Nativity Experience” on Saturday, Nov. 22 from 1:00-4:00 PM.  Come and enjoy 50+ unique nativity scenes.  Stay for coffee, ice cream, and Christmas cookies for a door charge of $5.00  Please use the east entrance, where an elevator is available if you need it.
